Hi I'm Ráchelle, a storyteller, film maker, content creator and adventurous traveler. My curiosity has taken me across the world, from travelling solo through the mountains of Kyrgyzstan and Kashmir to the jungles of Colombia and Borneo.
After four years of solo travel, meeting incredible people, encountering wild species and experiencing vastly different environments, I found the place that made me feel most alive beneath the surface of the water.
The ocean became a much bigger part of my story in 2023, when I learned to freedive in the Philippines. What started as another adventure quickly became something I wanted to understand more deeply. The following year, I became a certified scuba diver, and my work gradually moved below the surface too.
Today, I tell stories in and about our blue planet and the people, species, and conservation connected to it.
I have fond memories of days at the beach and snorkeling, but for a long time the ocean was simply just a place I enjoyed being around. That changed during my first proper freediving coaching session in the Philippines in 2023.
From the breathe-up before a dive to the moment I started descending, I felt a level of calm and focus that I hadn’t experienced before. As someone who has spent much of my life learning to live with ADHD and the constant noise in my head, suddenly everything went quiet. I was completely present. I didn’t want that feeling to end.
So I kept training and started spending more and more time in the ocean. In 2024, that led me to get scuba certified. Being able to stay underwater for longer completely changed the way I experienced the ocean. I could explore more, observe more and start understanding what was happening below the surface.
Since then, that curiosity has become one of the main focuses of my life. The more time I spend underwater, the more I want to learn. About the animals, the ecosystems, the people connected to them and the threats they face.
The ocean has shown me a world most people rarely get to see. And the more I experience it, the more I understand why it needs our care and protection.
